GRUP INSTRUMENTAL DE VALÈNCIA
The Grup Instrumental de València is an orchestral ensemble dedicated to the interpretation of music from the 20th and 21st centuries Joan Cerveró has been the musical director of the Grup since 1994.
With the concession in 2005 of the National Music Prize, its prestige as a specialized orchestra was consolidated, making the Group a fundamental protagonist and indispensable element to learn about and participate in the new Spanish music.
Formed in 1991, he has his habitual residence in the city of Valencia (Spain) in addition to actively intervening in contemporary music programs throughout the state. Composed of a flexible staff of 23 musicians, its repertoire ranges from chamber music to orchestral formation. In its more than thirty years of presence in concert halls and festivals the Grup has tackled fundamental works of the contemporary repertoire as well all the indispensable and also the young names of european contemporary music.
